The Provincial Grand Charity raises money to help local charities and individuals within Derbyshire, supporting local hospices, food banks, children with additional needs and Riding for the Disabled amongst many other causes.
Each year a Christmas party is held for local care leavers, and a funfair is held for children with additional needs. We have arranged trips to the theatre and to St George’s Park, the national football centre and home of the FA, for local disadvantaged children.
We have supported the local army and sea cadets as well as a promising young tennis player who uses a wheelchair and we host an annual Community Awards celebration for small charities which have been nominated by our members for outstanding work in our community.
Charity is at the very heart of Freemasonry and we take pride in our work in the community in Derbyshire.
